Job description

As a Project Leader in our Interior Engineering Department, you will supervise project teams who define the layout and equipment level of our yacht interiors. The Planners and Draftsmen in your team translate the designs and visuals of the designer to technical layout drawings. No Heesen yacht design is the same, offering a high level of variation in each project. You will work at the absolute top of the interior building industry, where there is time for quality. You will work with valuable, unique materials and be expected to operate cost-effectively. You and your team will lay the base for an efficient building process by supplying the right information and work drawings punctually to each department. You will also ensure the suppliers deliver the materials according to the specifications and planning. In addition to constant communication with your team, you will work closely with your Engineering colleagues in Oss. In this versatile and challenging process, you will keep the overview, encourage progress and guard the budget and planning precisely.

Job requirements

You are ambitious and eager to develop your skills as an engineer. You have experience in the interior building industry as well as sufficient knowledge of materials. Your passion for luxury yachts means that you like to stay up to date with the latest yacht engineering know-how, which you can implement in your work. You are flexible and stress-resistant. Your problem-solving abilities are impeccable and you have strong analytical skills. You have no difficulties switching between your detailed work and the bigger picture. As a team player, you are communicative and socially skilled, with coaching abilities and a strong, decisive character.


Education and experience:


  • HBO-degree in the field of interior building/carpentry, combined with 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • MBO-degree in the field of interior building/carpentry, combined with 5 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Verifiable experience with project management, policy implementation, planning and budget control.
  • A comprehensive level of both English and German (oral and written).
  • Sufficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
